I see liberal art degree holders all the time who are doing well and have good non-dead end jobs.
You just have to accept the fact that if you major in history or English or art history, that it is highly unlikely that you will find a job in those fields.
Employers do like liberal art majors for their critical thinking and analytical skills.

I got a shitty undergrad degree, went to an even shittier law school AND had a guy call me to come in to interview for my current job
