Yes he should be there......That Katrina season sure was rough as hell to watch though. I still have nightmares about that Dolphins game in Death Valley

I was there and saw the ugly confrontation at the ground floor elevator landing between drunk Saints fans who paid to watch that abysmal show and Benson and Tagliabue. Benson sure wanted to pick up and move the Saints, don't ever forget that. A Fredo move from Benson.

2005 ESPN Article

As to AB and the Saints HOF? Whatever. Haslett and the organization did let him down as far as support, etc., Brooks wasn't prepared individually for that big of a stage with the attendant pressure.

Stat-wise, Brooks should be in the Saints HOF. But like someone had mentioned earlier, the perception of him might stop that. I'm not a fan of him whatsoever, but he was the first QB in almost a decade that showed a little consistency here and there.

As far as Haslett, the man let Wayne Gandy keep a recliner in the locker room. That just tells me he let his players run the team instead of the coaching staff, which is also why we did nothing but settle for mediocrity in that time span.

It's not that simple. And I dont hate the guy. People who do hate him for that i assume did not lose anything in Katrina, didnt live here for it, or are too young to remember it.
