The Hernandez trial won't be that big of a deal, IMO. It'll get airtime, but it won't be massive, because:
He's a thug, so there is no mystery there. He's just a shitty human being. It's not like he was a respected guy who snapped, he's a TPOS.
The people he killed were wrapped up in bad stuff too. If there was a missing woman involved this would suddenly be a wall-to-wall coverage story.

but there IS a bigger story...the thug culture of the NFL, rappers, and inner cities (yeah, I know, code words) which glamorizes violence, illiteracy, degradation of women, and creating fatherless children and very often leads to this sort of criminal behavior.
but all of the do-gooders are too busy having press conferences about Sterling or gay kisses on ESPN to worry about unimportant things like this
