Impressive. If he could get into a race where a group is dragging him the whole way (which he shouldn't have a problem getting into such a race), then sub-4 is definitely a possibility.

However, I know the goal here was to actually do it on Louisiana soil. Going to be tough to bring that kind of competition, though, unless LSU would work with him and possibly host some sort of big celebrity mile race for one of their outdoor meets and sent invites.

I went to this last night and he ran 4:01.03. I believe the splits were about 58,1:58,and 2:59. He was flying and faded just slightly in the last 50 yards. I thought he had it even until the end. I couldn't see the clock on the track but was using the stopwatch on my phone to track his time.
