I've been campaigning my model for years.
4 16 team conferences
10 conference games
2 non-conference games against whomever
top 4 teams from each conference play a conference tourney
top team in each conference plays in national tourney 4 team playoff
This seems to be the steps everyone is going to anyway without actually saying it (the Big 12 being next on the chopping block it seems)

gotta hide that the Big 10 is getting worse by the year.
what better way to do that than to only play Big 10 teams during the regular season?
