I can tell you from other engineers' experiences that dealing with railroads, especially with ROW, is one of the most excruciatingly painful design experiences for engineers.

They don't like to budge on anything.

i also noticed recently that staring lane STILL isnt done. I mean come on. Someone asked two months ago why they hadnt opened it up and the response was "the concrete has to cure".

How long does that take?

And take for-fricking-ever to do anything at all. The railroad is 100 times worse to deal with than the worst government org.
