I'd still go 4K if you can and just settle for reduced settings until you upgrade down the road when 4K becomes even more mainstream. You'll be set for the future.
Of course prices will likely come down decently by then too.
Tough call.

I think the jump to 1440 will be enough for now, I will buy 4K when I build a new system. My old shite gets handed down to my nephew a fellow gamer and poor college student.

The ability to reassign key functions, the default set up is usually wasd for movement but I use the arrow keys, I have 9 button mouse and want to assign things like "interact" to one of the mouse buttons.
