Never thought about that. They had offered two guys I didn't want this week. Had to get rid of that.

That makes 7 of 12 but idk what to do. I'm sure we will have one or two with some work left to do anyway and I'm fine with that

Guess they could always sign them during the regular season

I wish there was a way to turn off the computer messing with user teams.

I'm done with free agency. Restocked my starting rotation and kept most of my lineup intact while upgrading a few positions. Yea, Yankees and Braves are going crazy right now with their trades. Not sure why you would trade away Kimbrel for Chapman just to turn around and flip that for Strasburg.

Kimbrel was traded more for Bruce than for Chapman, although I considered trading him too

Didn't have a lot of success last year with Kimbrel against users, it was mostly all fastball all the time

And I won't be upset if this trade doesn't go through and my team stays right where it is.

Man, you've completely gutted the Braves huh? What happened to Josh Hamilton?

A) the Braves were partially gutted before I took over this team or else I'd still have Justin Upton

eta: oh yeah Simmons had already been traded when I got here too

B) He is sitting out in LF, with Heyward in CF and Bruce in RF

Does anyone wanna trade a righty hitter for a lefty

I lost Hanley but don't fret, I replaced him with Jed Lowrie.

I shored up the only huge weakness in my lineup with victor martinez at 1B. Also got a couple solid bench bats and a James Shields at the start of my rotation. I should finish up my free agency after this round.

Yeah, for some reason you felt the need to drive the price up on both of the highest rated SS available and sign them both. Thanks a lot

One is playing 3rd.

Carlos Quentin turned down 7 mil to be a bat off the bench for a year. I guess he really liked the stability of a long term deal. I started fooling around and offered him $19 mil for one year and it still wasn't his top offer.

Yeah, I am a small market team, i cant compete in the dollars with y'all, i have to go with contract length...I'm sure it will bite me in the arse down the road but i had to improve my team a lot

Well then you would've really been pissed if I decided to go after some of the SP's you offered. I was considering Peavy to use as an innings eater out of the bullpen but I didn't have room.

Either you completely paid out the arse for him or he just refused to play in Boston. He was my #1 target but I couldn't get him. I ended up backing off of him and it freed enough cash to sign two guys
