They are in a nursing home leaving together but I have just recently been informed that because of their cognitive problems, they need much more care each and will have to be split up into two different rooms. I visit several times a week and can see the rapid decline in their mental condition. I am not sure the split will help anything. They will soon run out of their money and 24/7 help will be very draining.
I can tell everyone out there, if you can afford long term health insurance, buy it now.

I used to sell it.
I'd sell the home health care option like it was going out of style.
If you quality financially and health wise it's a no brainer when you enter retirement .

The other way is to qualify them for Medicaid.
