First, I think we can all agree that Bobby Jindal deserves some credit for this development.

How old is RR? It looks young, and I would say the nicest 21st century new development in all of Louisiana. I was wowed.

I could be wrong, but it looked like there were a lot of variations/differences in the houses and less so a cookie cutter. Also, the amount of retail (also extending away from RR blew me away. Makes Metairie look like a complete dump.

Is this where the OT 7's and 8's of Lafayette live?

Finally, River Ranch > The Woodlands > Northshore

2002. And no, he does not deserve credit.

That's probably the third wealthiest area in Lafayette.

Why does Bobby Jindal get credit? I hope that's a troll.

Also, you'll rustle some jimmies with this thread. Some people hate River Ranch.

If you like the Saint Street area, check out the Arabella neighborhood across Johnston street from Saint Streets. Some beautiful little homes in a beautiful little neighborhood.

Also there's a two dead end street neigborhood off Girard Park Drive between the park and S. College that seems quiet and has a few houses for sell. Huge oaks and a Hays Town home in there too. Really nice.

Uh, no dude it looks like crap. It's artificially overcrowded and is a fire trap.

Not to mention that shite is the reason the speed limit is 35mph on Camellia Boulevard.

The same people are also responsible for this Sugar Mudhole Pound shite they're building out here in Youngsville.

good god, frick no

like seriously, frick NO.

and the woodlands is in the process of getting MUCH more wealthy with exxon and others making their way down there, and then Anadarko is already there with their twin towers.

Greenbriar FTW. Lots of old Lafayette money and the houses actually have yards. River Ranch is too theme parkish for me.

If you're looking for a nice middle class area and don't want to brave the drive up 90 or Ambassador during rush hour, then look at Broadmoor/Woodvale. Best schools in the city proper and close to everything off of Johnston and Ambassador.
