Bring thermacell and toilet paper. You can survive a couple days without everything else.

95 degrees in the woods isn't as bad as 95 in the concrete city. I wouldn't worry about the heat.

I'd imagine a fishing license is legally required, but I would check before I bought one.

Bring stuff for starting a fire, in case it's raining. Don't burn down a National Forest though, even though it is in Arkansas.

Catch something and cook it over a fire. Fish, lizard, snake, something. One of the fondest memories I have as a young boy was my grandfather starting a fire with a flare while we were squirrel hunting and cooking a squirrel on a stick over it in the middle of the woods. It was covered in hair and soot, but I can still taste it and remember his voice. He knew what he was doing.

Plan on buying a new one to go along with the one I use for hunting for more coverage, and tp goes with me everywhere. You only have to sacrifice your favorite pair of underwear or a sock once to make sure that never happens again.

I made a list of stuff to bring and it's three lines down the page worth of stuff. In my non-yuppie defense I wrote down EVERYTHING I could possibly think of even the no brainer stuff.

Fresh cooked squirrel is a fine meal when skinned and cooked within the same hour.
