i think robe is fully healthy but has been on a pitch count of around 75, which i agree, is a good thing for us. baranik only throwing 86 in a complete game was huge for us too, if we can keep those arms rested instead of riding them to the 100-120 range this late in the year it bodes well for us.

If ULL runs into a team with just 1 dominant starter and even an average offense, they could be in trouble
i take this to mean supers right, which is a legitimate concern for us. in the past when we have face a top notch pitcher (albeit it was only one time) our pitcher also rose to the occasion and we were able to find a way to win.
To me it seems like when we need a gutty performance on the mound because we arent doing well at the plate we get one. those let downs(from our starters, bullpen scares me) usually come when the bats are putting up some runs and we have wiggle room to work with.

My thing is that when LSU played ULL we put Cody fricking Glenn on the mound. I wonder how ULL would do against Nola, Poche, etc. At the same time I wonder how LSU will do against ULL starting pitching as Milhorn isn't one of their better pitchers but held LSU to 1ER.

funny how that works out. same could probably be said for every team in the country.
Definitely looking forward to seeing this play out. I think LSU takes care of business and gets to host, pairing with ULL of course; but should we falter, going to Laffy as a 2 would make for a fun regional round. Winner would likely host the super.
