I never said it was historically accurate.
But it is a badass movie.
There's never been a mad man executing people in a building and one lone Street cop who happened to be there had to save the day only to find out it wasn't just some hostage crisis but a major terrorist plot, however, Die Hard is still one of my top 5 favorite movies.

The Patriot is a clear guilty pleasure of mine. Sure it's absolutely ridiculous and over-the-top, but when viewed as a comedy, it's pretty incredible.
Take the funniest scene in the film, when a white Sout Carolina plantation owner says he's proud to fight alongside a black slave. You know, South Carolina, the first state to secede from the union. Just about brought me to tears.

we'll just have to disagree. the only way i could see myself liking it is as a parody of sorts, which it's not. roland emmerich is one of the worst living filmmakers
