re: What's the most tramatic thing that's ever happened to you?

The worst was finding out that my uncle shot and killed my grandmother. Had to hole up somewhere with my parents and siblings that night because we didn't know where my uncle was and what his subsequent plans were. Got another call in the middle of the night to find out he shot and killed himself somewhere. The worst part was watching my dad deal with it. His father left when he was a toddler, so his mom and brother were his only family, and both were gone in the worst way.
ETA: My uncle was being treated for depression, and he was on a medication that later became very controversial for multiple strange occurrences such as this one.
