I told you last December the MoL owners would not want to be at the mercy of some newcomer politician wannabes who might trap the Mall into a higher property tax situation without a penny's benefit going to the property owners...not even a decrease in their fire insurance premium rates.

There's no reason to be paranoid after all who would think the city would annex them without asking them first ?

That is putting it nicely, the "leaders" of the movement were the ones who stood the most to gain. Their personal interests stood to profit, and I saw nothing about HOW they would improve schools besides throwing cash at them(which would help, but not the end all be all, especially when they were going to start bussing in Gardere kids).
I found it amusing that many believed Rainey was a non-resident helping St George out of the good of his heart.
