I would like to point out, that I was not the one that mentioned WRU first. I was merely responding to a previous poster that referred to LSU as WRU.

Understandable, but this is an LSU board. Of course there will be a little homerism.

with that said, I would not call us WRU.

If you came here expecting the most objective argument, then you came to the wrong place.

No not at all. I'm completely fine with the banter. I actually like it as long as it doesn't get personal. I have my reasons why I think A&M is a great place for WRs & ya'll have yours.

Hey, to each his own.

I just don't know why you want to spend your time over here.

1. A&M has signed the top WR for the past 2 years. 2. A&M had a top 10 draft pick at the WR position. 3. 2014 Passing Offense: A&M 7th vs LSU 44th 4. 2013 Passing Offense: A&M 6th vs LSU 42nd 5. 2012 Passing Offense: A&M 11th vs LSU 90th

How did this amazing talent stand up against 2 true freshman CB's and a defense that lost so much to the draft the year before? You had the best QB/Player in your school's history, being protected by the OT's that make up "OTU", throwing to your "amazing" wide out talent and yet you never once threatened to win that game.
If your next QB can't move like Manziel then he will have a hell of a time getting the ball to those receivers. It was his legs that bought the time for them to get open and for Defenses to play containment. If you can't establish a running game, your all world WR's won't do crap because the defenses will be teeing off on your new QB.

Actually, Mike Sherman's RecruitsU is the best description.
As far as Cobra's WR recruiting, when 17 out of your 32 annual signings are WR's, I would think your chances of hitting on one or two increase. Your top ten pick this year was virtually shut down by a true freshman in BR, btw...

You're correct, but a guy that didn't get drafted went 6-130 yards. Most likely because Evans was seeing double teams all day.

Total Since 2012 - A&M 12 (wr) 2 (athletes) LSU 13 (wr) 3 (athletes)

again lets get the facts correct. I'm not sure where your athletes plan on being placed.

A true freshman getting his first start after coming two weeks AFTER the season started held your top 10 WR to 4 catches for 51 yards. What's even worse is that he was not covering him at all (as a matter of fact, it was busted coverage) on the 38 yard catch where he was wide open. So our true freshman corner actually held him to three catches for 13 yards.

Maybe you'll have better luck next year, but with our secondary, DEs, and entire two deep LB core experienced, I don't think you have a chance.

I'm not sure who i should give the credit to... the freshman cb or your safety. I'll give them credit for shutting Evans down, but laugh at whoever gave Walker 6-130.

Well, when you keep getting guys drafted after 3 years, you have to sign larger numbers.

And this is relevant to this conversation how? I get it, you couldn't come up with stats to refute my point of view so you act like a child and throw out the some dumb arse stat to make yourself feel better.

Congrats on having your first WR drafted in close to a decade. One player is an anomaly. LSU has established a pattern.

Swope was drafted last year, and Jeff Fuller in 2012. Facts are a bitch
