The only issue I have with the death penalty is the length of time it takes to off some of these frickers.

I'm personally pro life, but I don't walk in everyone else's shoes: I think everyone should have the right to choose. I'm in a position now where an unexpected pregnancy would probably be viewed as a blessing. But there have been times in my life (when I was younger) when I wasn't in a good position to raise a child and abortion would have been the best option. I'm against late term abortion, however.

I'm anti-death penalty b/c there is no way to correct a wrongful execution. And people are being wrongfully convicted and executed way too often.

I see it is hypocritical to be against one of these but not the other.

Can you please explain your hipocrisy for us? How can you justify conflicting beliefs?

This is like asking why so many pro lifers are also pro death.

There is an easy solition to people in that predicament. Don't have sex. When has it become some kind of thing that everyone has to have sex the second they hit puberty. Should we not be using the resources we put towards abortion for educating young people instead? People laugh at abstinance and things like it but hell it would be alot better and cheaper if we would use our resources and parents would actually raise their children to not stick their pecker in any girl or teach their daughter to keep their legs clised unless they are fully aware and ready to accept the concequences of their actions.

I'm also pro-life and anti-death penalty.

Although admittedly I'm not emotionally anti death penalty, I just don't trust state governments to undertake this task well, and I think with reform of sentencing and prison expenditures, we can eliminate the need in large part.

That's because abstinence only education doesn't work.

Alone it doesn't work but in conjunction with other preventatives it certaintly coupdn't hurt. The real problem is people. Everyone is looking for someone else or something else to blame for everything. No one wants to take responsibility for their own actions. If you get pregnant its your responsibility to take care of the child. Oh you can't afford it. Well you should have thought of that. I have no sympathy for idiocy. Maybe I was just raised to know right from wrong or

Because a glob of cells that somebody doesn't want is different than state-ordered murder. You're welcome.

That "glob of cells" has arms, legs , fingers and other extremeties at 5 weeks. So after that it is no longer a glob of cells.

Hell nobody wants half the people on death row either so what are we waiting for

I've always wondered what their official retort to this question is. No liberal has ever provided me a clear well thought out response to this question...

Death penalty costs too much money. The appeals process winds up being more expensive than a life sentence. Besides, the government really shouldn't have the right to pass a judgement of life or death.

Abortion...I just don't care enough about someone else's kid to make a big deal out of it. It's a horrid practice, but there are situations where I understand its use. For all other situations, I just don't care enough to object to it anymore.

In which case, it's not the abstinence preventing early, unwanted pregnancies.

When does it have a soul, though? Just kidding. I was just trying to help the troll. This topic is beyond played out, and no one has ever been enlightened by it. Not to mention that I know for a fact that conservatives pay for abortions all the time. It's lowest common denominator drivel.

the issue isnt whether you are forcing someone to give birth. its whether what is being aborted is human or not. fricking unbelievable

I'm pro death penalty, not as a deterrent, but as a punishment, and it should only be administered with DNA evidence along with multiple witnesses.

I'm all for the day after pill. Circumstances dictate whether I'm for abortion up to three months, anything after that I'm against.
