maybe i dont count, but my dad had it done almost 7 years ago (he is 60 now)....healthier now than he has ever been and it hasnt slowed him down a bit

took him about 3 months to where he was back to "normal", but he has really taken care of himself since then

Thank you for the well wishes, and good to hear about your dad.

I just turned 60, and instead of feeling sorry for myself I'm thinking that it was better to get it out of the way now than in my 70's. Your dad probably feels the same.

And I'm also here to send a warning to everybody out there...

I've always eaten well, I exercised, I took care of my body and my mind, I've never been overweight, I've never smoked, I've never been diabetic, I've never had any other major disease... and yet I needed four bypasses.

Biology is unpredictable. You might THINK you're healthy but you REALLY need to get yourself checked out. Heart attacks can come without warning.
