They play Savannah State on senior day this season... so I would say yes they are having a hard time scheduling.

It's tough to schedule for them when the two nearest major conferences, the Pac12/Big12 play 9 game schedules. Then the WAC broke apart which ruined their 5 games a year deal with the WAC, and they do schedule MWC schools but only 4 per season. Utah won't play them anymore

So BYU has to fill a 12 game schedule, with one FCS team and 4 MWC teams. After that they have to fight for 7 more games.

not much different than the typical SEC homecoming being played against hot garbage like Towson or Western Carolina.

Senior day (or HC) against a weak opponent is normal b/c it allows the HC to ensure all seniors can play.

thats flat out false.

Utah and BYU have games set up for '16, '17, and '18.

IMO of the SEC does a deal with BYU it's purely b/c ESPN controls BYU's home games and will want to make BYU games more valuable for TV.
