In Midtown on Houston St.
Story
Mobile Police tell FOX10 News a homeowner shot a man during an alleged robbery/home invasion on Houston Street Sunday morning.
Police investigators say the deceased was armed when the shooting happened.
Witnesses say they saw several people run from the home when they heard several shots ring out. It happened shortly before 9:00 a.m. on Houston Street near McGill and Conti in the midtown section of Mobile.
Police did not confirm at this time, if there are multiple suspects in the alleged home invasion. Investigators say the homeowner is cooperating with authorities.

How many of these failed home invasion turn out to just be drug robberies gone wrong, I wonder.

Not familiar with Mobile, is this a good/bad part of town?

I never know what to think about some of these stories when I don't know the circumstances and I'm not familiar with the area.
On one hand--YEAH! One for the good guys!
On the other hand, if it was a drug dealer whose house was "invaded" and he shot the bad guy--well, there wasn't really a good guy to begin with, was there?
An example of what I'm talking about in the second case: LINK
