those that I know who take anti depressants do not have to keep upping the dosage...in fact, a number of them have just used them to get through a rough patch and then gradually weaned themself off several months later...

I personally think that the benefits outweigh the negatives even if you need to stay on them long term....

I suffered with anxiety/depression in my late teens. I tried Zoloft, but it made my stomach hurt. I eventually got on Paxil for about a year. That was over 10 years ago..... Haven't had any problems since.

I started taking Zoloft today. 25 mg.
