Let's at least be honest here. Most legit DUMB people are also too dumb to have much in the way of ability to live well beyond their means. They often have shitty credit which kind of kills that.

The bulk of those living well beyond their means are people who really do make plenty to do fine, but still manage to frick it up. These may not be geniuses, but on the whole, they aren't bottom dwellers either.

well i can't agree with that. Sorry but if you make min wage and you have a kid then you are living above your means. and somebody that makes min wage can easily find roommates and save money each month so they are not living pay check to pay check.

Some of this, but payday lending capitalizes on this quite a bit. So its not the middle class that has exclusive claim on this. They just get the 0% apr offers sent to their door.
