There's actually some validity to this. It is one thing to save so that you're not broke when you're old but frankly, even at age 47, I'm going to enjoy a trip to the islands with my wife NOW a lot more than I would in 20 years. Sacrificing that trip now so I can enjoy it when I'm 67 is retarded.
