Update: Picked up my trailer Thursday. After looking around Baton Rouge, I ended up going with Mike Gerald's on Airline. They seemed to have the best quality for the price and they had great customer service. They've also been there forever and are one of the few that work on trailers if I ever have any problems. I paid $1489 out the door. This was for a 5x12 square tube top rail and 15"tires ($1149) spare tire ($100) permanent plate ($70) and the rest was taxes and registration fees and I think $40 for a notary fee. I went back and forth on 5x12 vs 6x12 as the 6 was only $200 more, but for what I do and where I pull it, the 5 will be easier to maneuver and fit anything I need. I have uncles with 16' dual axle trailers that I can borrow anytime if need be for big stuff. They also went ahead and took the jack off the tongue for me and welded on a fold up jack on the side at no extra cost, like a boat trailer has. Seems the jacks on the center of the tongue are always bent from people not cranking them up all the way, so I just went with one that folds up so I won't have to worry about it. It's very well built trailer, world's above the crap at Lowe's and Home Depot. Should last a long time.
Thanks!
Thanks!
