but can you compare the following teams to either an NFL or College football team?

The Blues are like the Bills were with Thurman Thomas, just on a more consistent basis. They are always in the playoffs. They are always thought of as contenders. They always end up falling short. I remember when they won the president's trophy in 99-00 after just destroying the entirety of the league. They entered as the one seed into the playoffs. Then they got beat by San Jose, the 8 seed, in 7 games. They looked like an entirely different team. It was ridiculous.

Hmm, not bad. Being that I'm not a "real fan" I guess, I'm not living and dying with this team like I do for UGA so it's not gonna crush me if they don't win it all every few years. Just being in playoff contention sounds nice.

Stars - Texas A&M
Ridiculously young team that boasts a really good offense and a questionable defense. Their star player is a gigantic pain in the arse off the field (Seguin got traded from Boston because there were too many incidents)

Avs - Georgia
Rode a generational talent (Forsberg/Herschel) to a national title in a bygone era. Still has a great rivalry as a relic from that era with the Red Wings. Generally liked, but always fall just short of the title.

Blues - South Carolina
Cursed. Just cursed. But they do boast an incredibly loyal fanbase that is starving for a winner. Gotten real good recently.

Sharks - Auburn
Living in the shadow of their more successful cross-state rival, they have perhaps the best offense in the league. There is no Cam Newton equivalent.

Predators - Miss st.
Not in a mean way. Solid team that stresses no frill s frills defense. not a title contender, but they stress a blue collar style. Everyone makes fun of them for being rednecks.
