I live in Cool Springs now and love it. Currently in an apartment, but looking to get a house soon. The rent around here is not cheap; you'll be looking at 1250 - 1500/month for a two bedroom apartment in the Cool Springs area. And I agree with the realtor who recommended the Spring Hill/Thompson Station area if your budget is around $250k. I've looked in that area too. Traffic sucks on the interstate right now, but they are adding lanes, which should help a lot. Personally, I don't like the idea of being further from Nashville, so I stopped looking around there (it's not too bad though).

Considering I pay 1475 for a 1 bedroom in Nola, that is music to my ears

no no no no no no no.

just try heading up (431 i think..or hwy 6?) at 7:45am during the week ONCE and you'll quickly decide this is a terrible idea.

i65 traffic that far down is awful and until they expand the alternate road, living down there is going to be hell for commuting.
