Carson isn't seriously interested in Running for public office at nearly 65 years old. He is interested in a career as an analyst/speaker & for Black Republicans there is huge money to be made.

Any hints at being a Conservative & minorities (Blacks especially) are moved to the head of the Conservative line to put a darker face on their politics(Not attract minority voters)


They love someone other than White Males to spout off their backward social positions/ fiscal austerity(especially concerning social safety net programs).



Seems to be a good man ,but is a bit wishy washy on Affirmative Action since it did get him into Yale & open doors otherwise would have probably never opened :

"I believe that I benefited from Affirmative Action ........Only after I got to Yale did I realize admissions had taken a considerable risk on me & that I had been extended special consideration'"- Dr. Ben Carson


Carson goes on to admit he nearly flunked out of Yale as a Freshman because he was ill prepared, due to his background , to compete early on.

Unfortunately Carson doesn't believe the opportunity should be extended to other minorities . Unfortunately most of those against Affirmative Action don't realize how it works & how hard Carson had to work to capitalize on AA.


Don't worry about Carson as a serious politician. He is just cashing in on the Right Wing love to push forth minority Conservatives.
