I haven't watched much Eastern Conf. basketball because what's the point.

But I was kind of surprised at how flipping deep the Nets are. I don't think they have enough talent on the court at any one time to seriously threaten the Heat, but man. They are as deep as any team I've ever seen. They're almost like a poor man's Spurs with all the options they have. And imagine if Lopez was still viable.

Well when you are spending the more money than anyone in the league you should be pretty deep.

Not even close. The Spurs make great draft decisions and free agent signings. They find guys that fit their system and are better than anyone in the league at developing sub-par talent to fit their system.

The Nets basically gave away all of their draft picks for the next couple of years and are way over the salary cap.
