Be out there on moving tide, use a sliding cork that is rigged between 6-10', keep adjusting til you find strike zone. Either live shrimp or DOA. Cast as far as you can, pop the cork back into you. I've done fair on Spanish Maxkeral there and a few spex. Unfortunately you guys are a few weeks before it starts to turn on. What's humorous is the Asian fishing rigs out there- they're standing on tip toes trying to cast 5 feet of line.

Fishing is fishing when it comes to me and my old man. I actually go down to surfside maybe three times a year, so there's always next time too
