Drilling contractors are very slow and shutting down a lot of rigs. The longer this goes the more likely of a merger or buy out. There was a Brazilian drilling company go under last week. Not sure what will happen with their rigs.

Memorial/Wildhorse are drinking deep LCVHorizontals in the old Terryville area and branching out, they're some of the best wells I've ever seen in North La, coming on at 30-40 million a day with 400bbls of liquids
They're both NGP backed...NGP rolled Wildhorse under Memorial before taking it public. Those guys cashed in big time. Wildhorse is back our in NELA leasing for more deep CV Hz...probably hoping to sell into Memorial again. Rumor is they already had a big test on new well at around 25mmcf/d.

CVX already announced it would divest $15B over the next three years. Their offshore shelf package hit the market end of last month.

Along with the rest of the country.
Great company, lots of LSU alums.
I don't see them going anywhere.

Greenhead, what kind of position are you applying for at APC? I've been with APC for 2.5 years...

Well to be honest I haven't yet, a good friends step dad just retired with them and has put some feelers out. Said everything is on hold right now but the ball should start rolling in the 3rdQ. We talked about it a while back, process engineer/operations manager type position.
What do you do?

I applied for a completion engineering position for APC a while back. No luck.

That's in the running as well, that's what I'm doing for SLB.

Anyone familiar with Kosmos Energy out of Dallas? I would love you join their team. They're right up my alley with where I want to be and what type of work they do.

Tools, the past few months have been a roller coaster, it was 3rd on my list of offers and ended up being the only one that didn't get pulled.

Rumor is anardako thinks they're pumping gold and valuation discussions, even farming into their JVs, are difficult to have with them at the moment. They've been needing a buyout for a few years now to get at some of their more costly plays. They do have great assets but no one is buying at the prices they're asking.

I have worked pretty closely with COPC over the years and I wouldn't expect them to divest any of their core assets. They have been actively trying to farmout some of their older producing properties. They are definitely not interested in selling their LL&E mineral fee position in South Louisiana (Terrebonne Bay) because I know a couple of groups that have inquired about it over the last few years.
What I have been hearing is that everything onshore but their tier one South Louisiana and Eagle Ford properties are for sale, tons of stuff in East Texas.
