Coastal areas rarely get very cold. Stays between 20-40 most of the winter. Some parts of Juneau haven't seen below zero in a decade or more. There's a lot of climate variation in town though.

Interesting fact, Juneau is one of the largest cities in the world, in area. There's 3,200 sq. Miles, about half is the Juneau Ice Field, a permanent ice cap. Elevation ranges between sea level and 8,500 ft. You can have everything from Seattle type weather to Polar weather in one winter. Hell, on the same day, in various parts of the city/borough.
