They're made to eat RAW bones. Cooked bones splinter and puncture bowels.

They can handle them good too. I meant as far as breaking them down.

It CAN happen but rare compared to the number of dogs that eat them with no problems. All of our dogs growing up (and we had a lot) were raised on scraps and they ate cooked bones every night with no problems.
