re: Does anyone still bowl in leagues anymore or is that kind of passé?

I did for a while in a fun beginners league, mostly younger people and friends. Then a company bought out the bowling alley and got rid of my league. The only leagues available were full of middle aged men and women who have been bowling together for 20+ years. They were super into bowling and rules and didn't seem like they were having fun at all, you should have seen these people. I went to the opening meeting, never signed up and never went back. If they opened another beginners league I would go though
