Brand up doesn't stop them breaking. And youth and high school baseball is completely different. Seasons are longer. Pitchers throw harder. Kids and teams play year round. The expensive metal bat is expensive but a good one will last 2 years easily.

Plus you have a warranty so that bat is really 2-3 bats for one price.
