If it was so important to be in the city don't you think they'd have petitioned the city to do it when they first bought the property?
Why would they? Before this SG mess there was no reason for them to make a distinction between the city and parish.

This is a perfect example of how the SG incorporation would divide the parish into "us" versus "them" just like I've been saying it would.

We'll see if you feel that same way when the merchants in the Mall of La, Perkins Rowe and possibly Siegen Marketplace ask to be annexed into BR thereby cutting SG's tax revenues in half. That will effectively kill St George from happening.

Sure I'd still feel the same way.

But from what you are saying BR only accepts businesses, they really don't want people.

Maybe they can cherry pick their way down airline Hwy. and get the Womans Hospital and all the car dealerships too.

We shall see.

The big thing to realize is people vote, businesses do not.

I'm for letting people vote.

Funny you should say this. Just read a tweet saying the Mall of La will be asking to be annexed as well soon. Not confirmed yet.
