Good hiking within an easy drive of Baton Rouge?

I figure the OB is the best spot for this.
I usually go up to Clark Creek... it's always a nice hike, but looking for something different.
Is there anywhere else worth checking out that's similar to Clark Creek? A little topography is nice.
Within 1.5 or so hours drive of BR preferably.
Thanks!

Percy Quin State Park outside of McComb has some nice terrain.

Chicot state park has some nice trails that circle the lake.
Maybe just outside of 1.5 hours
Outside of your 1.5 hours, but Wild Azelea trail is worth the drive. Longest in the state. You can search for previous threads and pictures on the OB about it.

just a day hike?
The Azalea Trail in Kisatchie near Alexandria is a nice trail system. It's about 27 miles from start to finish (not a loop).

Yeah, more like a half day hike this time, which is why Clark Creek is so easy.

I've seen that one, it's definitely something I want to do when we have more time and can camp out a night.

download a map of the tunica hills wma 4-wheeler and hiking trails. they are closed to atvs after hunting season.
one of the trails leads down into a dry creek bed that will take you a couple of miles into the woods. lots of topography, beautiful country and very unique for louisiana.
you need either a wild LA, fishing or hunting license to use the WMA though ($5 for a fishing license) and you need to 'check in' at one of the unmanned check in stations and carry the card with you as well. awesome scenery though.
i recommend carrying some insect repellant as well. i went a month ago and didn't have any problems but in years past there have been a lot of ticks. no big deal if you are prepared/spray around your boot tops and waist, but can be a pain in the arse if you are unprepared. it's worth it though.
ETA: the trail labeled "nature trail" on the dwf website pdf is the one that leads to the creek bed. there are several open 'fields' sort of in places along the atv trails. you can try hiking in between the trails but it is challenging in spots. again, i think it's worth it though.
