I spent 4 years and 2 months on an Aegis class cruiser. 2 6 month Med cruises, a short 2 month trip to the Baltic and countless days underway for work-ups or training.
I never had too many problems with the side to side, but the up-down side to side killed me. It was especially bad when the sonar dome got up because the ship would flutter back and forth on the way down.
The Atlantic in December, it pretty much sucks!

I loved riding on one of those things (pulled LEDET duty in mid-80's). First time I'd ever been on a vessel where I could take unlimited hot showers any day of the week.

Try being in Sonar 1 while this was going on...
