The 2011 Big East had a record 11 tournament teams. 
they also played UK, MSU, Texas and Tennessee OOC

Yet 8 teams managed to have winning records, not including UCONN. And four of them managed to get seeded 1 through 4 in addition to UCONN.

Louisville, WVU, Pitt, Cuse, UConn and I think St. Johns were all 5 seeds or better that year. Duke in 2010 was better than all those teams so to say they would be a 5 or lower is stupid.
