Basketball Team Conditioning

It is mind boggling that any player on any team at LSU would need to go to the next professional level to work on his conditioning. Such was the moment yesterday from Johnny O'Brien.
In watching him play, it was obvious to me after the second game I saw on TV that he was gassed...even in the first half of every game.
Does LSU run wind sprints? Did Job do his conditioning work?
Were there any consequences to him if he did not do his running?
My experience tells me that at the end of the season he should be in top shape..but why is he not?
LSU Basketball has its own Strength and Conditioning coach.

He averaged 30 minutes per game. Everytime we went to the offensive end we threw the ball down to him who had 2 guys trying to push him the other way until he got rid of it. If you've ever been in that position, you'd know how tiring that is.
Occasionally he was tired, but that was becasue we couldn't have him off the court at all. I think he was in pretty good shape this year for his size.

Was this Dan and Dave's long lost brother that didn't make the 1992 Olympics?

I'm still trying to figure out who Johnny O'Brien is?

At least this sentence has some truth to it.
