It's interesting that the same poster in this thread who advocates more local control of schools via a SG school system seems to be praising a state run school system in New Orleans where there is ZERO local control.

Not to mention that the RSD is one of the most mismanaged government entities in the state. It's fraught with corruption and incompetence. I think they're currently spending around $20k per pupil.

That would be a good topic for another thread.
It's not that I was praising NO schools, I was pointing out how far our schools have sunk under the current regime and the leadership of the EBRPSS.
I was shocked to see that Orleans parish scores were better overall than our scores. Shocked.
