Has anyone here ever been to a track there? I'll be going to Anaheim in a couple days for a conference, and wanted to catch some live racing on Saturday. We originally talked about Los Alamitos because it is very close to us in Anaheim. But it looks like everything is quarter racing which is the short races. I may be wrong though so correct me if so. I prefer the longer races when I bet simulcast so I started looking at other options. We have a rental car Saturday and noticed that the Santa Anita Derby is that day. Would it be worth the drive to go there instead? I looked for a schedule to see what time the races would be that day, but all I could find was that it starts at noon. Can anyone help with this? I have a friend flying in around 10am Saturday and I'm not sure we could make a noon start. Thanks for any and all input!

I think the Santa Anita Derby would be a ton of fun. I've never been to any race tracks in SoCal .. but there's a couple Kentucky Derby hopeful there - California Chrome, Hoppertunity - who would be fun to watch.

Here's the PPs for the Santa Anita.

It's race 9. I would assume it'd probably go off around 4p PST.

Lived less than 10 minutes from Santa Anita. I'd go every now and again
