re: "Crying it out" with an infant - OT Parents, how was your first experience?

Kudos to you for doing this. By far the toughest thing I've had to do as a parent thus far. I've got two 5 and 2 years and had to do it with both of them. Like you my wife was way more calloused to it. For me it breaks my heart I can't tolerate it. I want to run in there in the first 30 seconds. BUT it will work and it will get better each night. I would just put in some headphones and play music.

Be prepared they will "relapse" after a time. But the process is much shorter the second time.
