It's still a non sequitur and neither here nor there. There are tons of parents with daughters who agree with me and people without kids who don't agree with me. That goes for any discussion about kids and teenagers for anybody and their point of view.

My source of knowledge on this subject is my excellent and wonderful parents and the excellent job they did raising me and I will pass down those lessons and knowledge they taught me to kids of my own.

Commendable statement and I see no issue with it.

But the fact remains that she so happens to be 16 like the 16 year old don juan and likely wants the same thing as he does and you have to teach her how to deal with that and that's a job for her mother imo.

Teenage boys and girls are naturally curious about each other and they're going to frick somehow, someway without the parents knowing. I know it's an uncomfortable thought to have but you would do them a world of good making sure they understand the risks, life changing consequences and what can happen if they are not careful. My parents did just that and I'm a better person for it today with a comfortable life as opposed to people who just implode in large part of their parents sheltering them excessively or not giving enough of a shite about them.
