It's not splitting hairs. Corporations don't exist without the government. It's a big distinction.
G, you wouldn't be willing to bestow limited liability to a group of people voluntarily?

Yeah...and NOT starving.
Do you think starving people in Africa would give a frick if they had to eat a Big Mac everyday?

Well, if you can't, and I can't...

My point is that working to achieve maximum profit doesn't mean you're working for the greater good.
Who's to decide what "the greater good" is if not the very people who CHOOSE to buy their products?

greater good.
Such a vague goal that can be said to justify damn near any state action.

People didn't eat NEARLY as well before capitalism. Hell, our "poor" are FAT. That has never happened in human history. Another thing about capitalism...you can CHOOSE not to do business w/ those companies (in the sense that you don't have to buy their products off the shelves. We are forced to do business w/ them through govt guarantees and subsidies). Other companies supply foods which don't have those chemicals, right?
Get outta here with that rational bullshite. The world is far worse off than ever before because of greed and profit. Eliminate these two evils and people would bust arse everday at work just to help their fellow man. Hell, I might even invent some shite if I didn't have to worry about selling it and dealing with those worrisome profits. frick that. Mo money, mo problems.

I find I get more things accomplished when I have less motivation to accomplish things.

I really wish more people in our society would realize that in order for someone to fulfill their "greed" in a freer market, a company MUST satisfy their customers AND be efficient. Both huge benefits to society.
On the other hand, all politicians need to do to fulfill their greed is steal more from productive individuals.

Capitalism with a well defined set of rules that are meant to encourage innovation and competition is a wonderful system. I think we could have less government that was more effective if we didn't try to fight all government all the time and instead embraced common sense rules.

As a wise man once said,"Greed is good."

Maybe it was better when 98% of people were in abject poverty equally.

Unless I'm just misunderstanding you, I don't know of a single politician and very few individuals that are for this.

In our case it's an indication of a problem, not a triumph.
When you have the majority of the nation eating diets of fake food-like products it causes a number of issues, one of them being weight gain.
Weight is not an indication of health.

Which is why any capitalist had better at least be an AnCap.

Organic farmers have to pay for certification, while big GMO farms get subsidies. It's not fair for pricing. Yes, I get that government is to blame for the subsidies.
But understand that big business and government work together.
When the government banned or tried banning wood burning stoves everyone got mad at the government for regulating, but the truth is the energy companies wanted the ban so everyone would have to get on the energy grid.

No doubt. But look at the context in which I wrote that statement. I was saying that our "poor" are clearly not starving....which before us, never happened in human history.
And the rest of your post, I agree w/.
So, how was my post about capitalism being moral and a huge benefit to society "regurgitated programming"?

bullshite. You can eat healthy and cheap. Most people that are poor are poor because they make poor life choices. They enjoy the easy road and instant gratification. Although not true 100% of the time. I'll bet it is 98%+. Most seem to think they are smarter than they are and fail to heed advice given to them by more intelligent successful people. Others just don't GAF. Either way, you can't legislate personal responsibility. Your telling me a poor person will choose baked chicken and steamed broccoli over a big mac and coke if the healthier option was cheaper? Bull fricking shite. I see mf'ers every single day go into my wife's store and bitch about a $3 copay on an essential med that they don't get then turn around and spend $5 on a coke and a fricking king sized snickers. You mf'ers are clueless.

Yeah and several wise men ran our countries economy into the ground because at the end of the day they could give two shits less about anything except their bottom line short term.
