I once sold a 1911 to a man that was worried about the crime rate of his neighborhood. I saw him a year or so later and asked how he was liking the 1911 and said he had done this exact thing. He had pumped three rounds through his car door into a guy that was trying to carjack him. He said he fell instantly and all three rounds entered the perp.
