Absolutely spot on.
I'm a huge football fan but you can already see the bottom up trend as more parents are not letting their kids play football. Add to that, you are beginning to hear former players say they would not want their kids to play football either.
What is interesting to consider is what will happen to the facilities colleges are enlarging now. Most major programs are spending large amounts to enlarge stadiums and when attendance starts to decline, what will they do then.
I said some weeks ago, the Mike Anderson lawsuit is just the first for the college level. At some point, people will begin walking it back to the high school level. When that happens, school boards will have no choice but to cut back on football.
I'm not saying this is right, just reality as I see it.
