here is the difference in those sports and the NFL. It's a limited number of games so they all matter. Baseball is 162 games, not every one matters, same with basketball.

also with the popularity of fantasy football, it makes every game important to someone regardless of how shitty the teams are.

Everyone via college or pro football is exposed in some form. That's not the same with baseball and basketball imo.

footballs only demise will be concussions and lawsuits over player safety which turns the game into a 7 on 7 drill.
