This is from turbotax. From my understanding if I claim idemitized she has to as well. My question is it says federal withholdings and state withholdings. Do I just take what I paid on box 2 (fed income tax withheld) and divide it by two and use that for subtraction? Or take box 1 (wages) and divide that by two and use that for subtraction?
