It seems to be a pretty obvious terrorist hijacking. The only things odd about it are:
A. their success in pulling it off and not crashing it obviously
B. the fact that no terrorist organizations have yet to come forward and claim credit for the hijacking. This leads me to point #2.

People only steal things for 2 reasons: to use them or to sell them. Terrorists steal things for a third reason: to make a bold statement. Seeing as no statement has been made and selling such a plane would be asinine, that only leaves using it. If the plane were being "used" to send a message, the group responsible would have already claimed credit for the attack and all of the helpless infidels they vanquished with it. This means they are going to use it as part of another plot. There were loosely controlled islands within fueling range they could have landed on. This plane is still out there and it will be used for something. What though, remains to be seen. What I fear is that it will be used as a delivery system for a very very large dirty bomb or bio weapon attack sometime in the near future.

There are so many other ways to deliver a "dirty bomb" without having to go through such an elaborate plot, which plot would draw the eyes of the entire world to your corner of the world to look for the fricking commercial airliner loaded with people.
