Wash and repeat... WWI, WWII, to present. Turn a blind eye, and ignore it and it doesn't go away until it ends up being our business and a bloody one at that. Same talk, same result.
Nothing wrong with seeking peaceful resolutions, and well we should at this point, but from a point of strength and ultimatums that absolutely NO invasion of the Ukraine or elsewhere will be tolerated or considered an act of aggression on all of Europe and thus an act of war. That's the ONLY thing those Russian fricks really comprehend and respect, peace from a point of strength. Reagan saw that, and operated in such a manner. He didn't cower down, but stood his ground and let them know how the cow chews the cabbage, but with a friendly smile and out reached hand as well.
The trouble is, if I were Putin and looked over at America right now, I'd be encouraged at what I saw in America and the leadership so called in America. And don't think for a second he doesn't look over here and laugh, because he does. That's the scary part, and which if anything will give him motivation to move forward into the Ukraine itself, which they already have.
